SUMMER OF FUN! Family Orienteering – 02.08.22 – 10:00am

This summer we have been selected to provide activities for the ‘Summer of Fun’ initiative, funded by Neath Port Talbot Council.

This grant allows us to provide free sessions for young people across South Wales aged 7-25. We hope that by offering these sessions we can improve mental health across the county, encourage young people to get out in nature and provide a space that nurtures empowerment, community and wellbeing.

Orienteering is an exciting and challenging outdoor sport for the whole family that exercises mind and body. At Margam Park we have hundreds of acres to explore, beautiful wildlife and panoramic views with many permanent orienteering courses scattered across the rugged Margam Mountain.

You will be met by your instructor and briefed with all the information you need in order to navigate your way around one of our courses using a topographic map of the park. You’ll be taking this challenge on as a family; communication and team work is essential for success! Upon your return your instructor will ask for photographic evidence of each of our orienteering posts – so do remember to bring your phones.

Do competitive genes run in your family? Race to beat our quickest time and put your name on the top of our leaderboard!
