Margam Park Adventure Canoeing

Experience open Canoeing in the shadows of Margam Castle, a 19th century Tudor Gothic mansion located in the heart of the picturesque Margam Country Park in South Wales.

Our canoe sessions are very inclusive and are suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities. In each boat you can seat 2 or 3 people, plus it’s also possible to raft the boats together to make an even more stable platform for larger groups.

The sheltered waters at Margam are a perfect location to learn. We offer a variety of sessions, your instructor will guide you through the basics of forward paddling, steering the boat using a variety of paddling strokes, stopping, balancing/trimming the boat correctly and getting in and out of the canoe safely.

We also deliver a fun and exciting paddle sports award called Paddle Power designed by British Canoeing to develop your paddling through a progressive award scheme.

Why not try Canoeing today? It requires a deceptive amount of communication, collaboration and teamwork to get where you want to. Providing opportunities for learning through play for schools, team building for corporate days and self-discovery whilst just having fun.
